“OH MY GOD… West Ham in DESPERATE Midnight Talks to SNATCH Ex-MLS SUPERSTAR – Fans Are FREAKING OUT, This Could SAVE or DOOM the Club!! (You Won’t Believe Who!)”

West Ham United’s torrid season shows no sign of improving, with their struggles deepening by the week.

A 2–1 loss to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night stretched their winless run to 10 matches and left them marooned in the relegation zone, where hopes of survival are fading fast.

Although January signings Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos have gone some way toward easing the club’s attacking shortcomings, the Hammers’ issues extend well beyond a lack of goals.

Defensive weaknesses continue to derail any momentum, and if Nuno Espírito Santo is to steer his side away from danger, further additions during the winter window appear essential.

As a result, West Ham may now be lining up a third signing before the deadline.

West Ham Hold Talks Over Leo Pereira Deal

Reports suggest West Ham have initiated talks regarding a potential move for Flamengo centre-back Leo Pereira, as they seek to add much-needed stability at the back.

With the club currently seven points from safety, reinforcing the defence has become a pressing concern for Espírito Santo, and the experienced Brazilian has emerged as a viable candidate.

Now 29, Pereira has been a key figure for Flamengo since completing a permanent switch in January 2020, after a brief loan spell with MLS side Orlando City.

During his time with the Rio-based giants, he has made close to 280 appearances, earning a reputation as one of their most dependable performers.

The defender enjoyed an outstanding 2025 campaign, playing a crucial role as Flamengo secured the Brasileirão title.

He also chipped in with six goals and one assist, an impressive contribution from the heart of defence.

According to Bolavip Brasil, West Ham have already made contact with Flamengo to discuss a possible transfer, although they face competition, with Mexican club Cruz Azul also keeping a close eye on his situation.

Any deal could prove complicated. Flamengo are believed to be unwilling to part with Pereira midway through the season, as they look to keep the backbone of their title-winning squad together ahead of the 2026 campaign.

However, football can change quickly, and a sizeable Premier League bid may yet tempt the Brazilian champions into reconsidering their stance.
