West Ham United are facing an increasingly bleak fight for Premier League survival after a damaging run of results has left them seven points from safety.
Consecutive defeats against relegation rivals have deepened the crisis, with a heavy 3-0 loss away at Wolves followed by a 2-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest compounding their troubles.
Those setbacks have left the Hammers 18th in the table with just 14 points from 21 matches, marking their worst top-flight return at this stage of a season since 1973–74.
They are now winless in 10 games, intensifying scrutiny on head coach Nuno Espírito Santo, whose position has already been questioned amid the club’s recent managerial instability.
The Forest defeat was particularly frustrating. West Ham thought they had taken a commanding 2-0 lead when Crysencio Summerville found the net, only for VAR to rule the effort out for offside.
