Moussa Djenepo, currently on loan at Antalyaspor from Standard Liege, is reportedly available for just £2 million—a fee well within Rangers’ reach.
Djenepo, 26, has 33 caps for Mali and over 70 Premier League appearances for Southampton, bringing experience from top-level football in England, Turkey, and Belgium. Leeds United are also said to be monitoring him.
However, caution is warranted.
While Djenepo brings pedigree, his performance as a left winger hasn’t been particularly eye-catching.
He has only a few goal contributions this season and just 20 goals throughout his senior career.
At 26, that output is unlikely to excite the Ibrox faithful or significantly elevate the team’s attacking threat.
He may be a decent player with the ability to trouble defenders, but if Rangers aim to match the standards set by Celtic’s attacking players—like Vaclav Cerny or Abdallah Sima—they need to aim much higher in the transfer market.
