Opinion: ‘Dreadful’ 0% flop has no future at Tottenham after Fulham disaster

Ange Postecoglou must take a significant share of the blame for Tottenham’s 2-0 Premier League loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday (16 March).
While some senior players, including Dominic Solanke, underperformed, the Australian manager made excessive changes for the London derby.
Postecoglou rotated seven players from the squad that secured a 3-1 UEFA Europa League victory over AZ Alkmaar at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (13 March).
This raised concerns among fans, with many questioning whether he had already conceded the Premier League campaign.
Bissouma’s lackluster display in West London further suggested that some Spurs players have mentally checked out.
Bissouma’s ‘Dreadful’ Display Against Fulham
Tottenham’s performance against Fulham was disjointed, leaving them in a precarious position in the league table.
However, Bissouma stood out for all the wrong reasons.
Alasdair Gold highlighted his struggles via X (16 March), stating, “Bissouma has been dreadful in possession so far when Spurs have been moving up the pitch.
Panicked passes, either too powerful, misplaced or putting team-mates under pressure.”
According to Sofascore, Bissouma completed just 82% of his passes and won only two of his six ground duels.
Additionally, he lost his only aerial duel, failed all his attempted dribbles, lost possession six times, and committed two fouls before Postecoglou substituted him at halftime.
This match should have been an opportunity for Bissouma to prove his worth to Postecoglou. Instead, his poor showing made the manager’s decision to start him look questionable.
Bissouma’s Future at Tottenham Looks Bleak
Bissouma’s future at Spurs appears uncertain, and an exit this summer seems likely.
Given his underwhelming performances since joining from Brighton, keeping him beyond this season would be a mistake.
After his disastrous outing against Fulham, he should be relegated to the reserves for the remainder of the campaign.
His latest performance was a glaring example of why Tottenham should part ways with him.
