‘Unbelievable’ Midfielder Linked with Leeds United Moves to Brenden Aaronson’s Former Club After £10m Bid
Leeds United Are Nearing a Deal for Largie Ramazani but Still Seek Additional Signings Before the Transfer Window Closes; Meanwhile, a Midfielder on Their List Has Joined a New Club.
The 23-year-old is poised to become Leeds United’s fifth signing of the summer, and the first since Jayden Bogle joined from Sheffield United a month ago, taking the place of winger Crysencio Summerville.
Manager Daniel Farke has been vocal about his desire for new signings, identifying four key positions he wants to strengthen before the transfer window closes.
One of these positions has now been addressed with the addition of Belgian U21 winger Largie Ramazani.
Farke is also seeking a replacement for Georginio Rutter, a full-back to enhance squad depth, and a midfielder who can play alongside a defensive midfielder and contribute offensively.
These are the areas Leeds is focused on reinforcing.
Meanwhile, Bobby Clark’s move to Salzburg has been confirmed, despite previous links to Leeds.
The 19-year-old, described as an “unbelievable” talent, had attracted interest from half the Championship, as well as Rangers, Celtic, and Salzburg.
Although Clark broke into Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad last season primarily as a playmaker, Salzburg was always the frontrunner, having recently offered £10 million for his transfer.
Salzburg, the former club of Leeds players Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, and Brenden Aaronson, is now managed by Klopp’s former assistant, Pep Lijnders.
With the move to Salzburg confirmed, Clark will continue his development in Austria under Lijnders.
Leeds United had been focused on finding a replacement for Summerville, a task that has now been accomplished with Ramazani’s arrival.
The club’s attention must now shift to securing a replacement for Rutter, adding another midfielder alongside Joe Rothwell, and increasing full-back depth.
With just eight days left in the transfer window, there is still significant work to be done. However, the signing of Ramazani marks a positive step forward for Leeds.
If Clark was indeed a target, Leeds will need to quickly explore other options in the remaining days of the window.
