Report: Everton in Negotiations to Sign ‘Powerful’ Midfielder Compared to Jude Bellingham

Reports from French outlet RMC Sport indicate that Everton is in talks to sign Bundesliga midfielder Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who stood out during his debut season with Eintracht Frankfurt after joining them permanently in 2023 following a successful loan spell, has caught Everton’s attention.

Standing at 6 feet tall and known for his impressive technical skills, Dina Ebimbe would be a strong addition to Sean Dyche’s midfield if the deal goes through.

It is reported that Everton has already approached Frankfurt to discuss the details of the potential transfer, though no direct contact has been made with the player yet.

Crucially, Frankfurt is open to selling Dina Ebimbe if Everton can convince him to make the move.

Dina Ebimbe’s journey began when he joined the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) youth academy at the age of 12.

Although he realized his dream of playing for PSG’s first team, he ultimately fell victim to the club’s tendency to offload youth prospects due to their lavish spending on established stars.

Like many before him, Dina Ebimbe left PSG and went on to shine elsewhere.

What may frustrate PSG the most is the growing comparisons between Dina Ebimbe and Jude Bellingham, who is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world.

The official Bundesliga website highlighted this comparison last year, noting Dina Ebimbe’s preference for playing as a No. 8, his ability to cut in from the opposite flank, and his powerful, driving runs through opposition defenses—traits reminiscent of Bellingham.

Last season, Dina Ebimbe contributed five goals and three assists from midfield, leading Peguy Luyindula, the sporting coordinator at one of his former loan clubs, to praise him as “powerful, versatile, and determined.”

Everton fans will be hoping that his next ambition is to join the Toffees and help resolve their current midfield crisis.
