“Positive About Future” | Hammers Midfielder Believes Team Will Soon Thrive

West Ham Midfielder Edson Alvarez Urges Patience as Team Seeks to Gel and Develop Throughout the Season

Saturday’s match was a tough watch at times, as West Ham had to battle from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with a late goal from Danny Ings.

Despite a below-par performance, the team refused to give up, snatching the equalizer in the final moments.

Midfielder Edson Alvarez has acknowledged that it’s been challenging so far, though he’s not making excuses.

West Ham is determined to build on their efforts in the coming weeks of the new season.

“We know every game is very challenging, especially away from home, and it was no different against Fulham,” said the Mexico captain on the club’s official website.

“But you must keep believing until the end, because goals can come at any moment, from the first minute to the last.”

He admitted that the first match after an international break is always difficult, as players only come together a few days before the game, leaving little time to prepare.

However, he believes the team is on the right track. “It’s still early in the season, there’s a long way to go, and we need to stay positive,” he added.

Alvarez remains confident that success is on the horizon for West Ham, with the team close to finding its rhythm and producing the dominant performances needed to challenge at the top of the table.

“It hasn’t been an easy start, but in England, every game feels like a final,” Alvarez said.

“Next, we face Chelsea, which will be tough, but playing at home with our fans behind us gives us confidence.”

He also expressed his enjoyment of playing alongside teammate Guido, someone he knows well from their time together at Club América in Mexico.

Alvarez is optimistic that, as the season progresses, the team’s chemistry will only improve, and with it, their chances of success.
