“Potential Exit: Journalist Reveals West Ham Board’s Message to Lopetegui About His Future”

West Ham United's 2024-25 season has been exceptionally disappointing so far.

Despite spending over £120 million on new signings last summer, West Ham United finds itself in 14th place in the Premier League, having won only three of its first ten matches.

The latest setback occurred on Saturday, as they suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, with Chris Wood, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ola Aina scoring for the hosts.

Manager Julen Lopetegui is under increasing pressure due to the team’s inability to achieve results.

According to The Times reporter Gary Jacob, the club’s board has indicated that he may face dismissal if the poor performances persist.

Although a victory against Manchester United last month eased some tension, the recent loss at the City Ground has reignited scrutiny of his leadership.

West Ham will host Everton this Saturday in their final match before the international break, and Lopetegui is expected to deliver a strong performance against a team viewed as relegation candidates.

LONDON, ENGLAND – AUGUST 31: Julen Lopetegui, Manager of West Ham United, gestures during the Premier League match between West Ham United FC and Manchester City FC at London Stadium on August 31, 2024 in London, England.

A defeat to the Toffees could result in the club’s hierarchy deciding to part ways with the 58-year-old manager.

Lopetegui was brought in to implement an attractive style of play and improve the club’s fortunes, but he has yet to achieve either goal during his time at West Ham.

The pressure is mounting as the team struggles to find its footing in the league.
