Premier League Club’s Transfer Approach Might Give United the Ideal Opportunity to Sign Ten Hag’s Former Favorite – Report

Manchester United are aiming to bolster their full-back options following a challenging season plagued by injuries and inconsistent performances.

Last season, Luke Shaw missed 36 games, and Tyrell Malacia was out for the entire campaign. As a result, Erik ten Hag had to deploy defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and center-back Victor Lindelof in the full-back positions. Even right-backs Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka had to fill in alternately.

Wan-Bissaka, the former Crystal Palace star, struggled with form due to recurring injuries, prompting the Dutch manager to consider new signings.

Although United extended Wan-Bissaka’s contract by a year, it was primarily to retain his market value. Should the Englishman be sold, United would need a versatile player capable of covering both flanks.

The Peoples Person reported that Manchester United, the 20-time English league champions, are eyeing Noussair Mazraoui, who is also attracting interest from fellow Premier League clubs West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Mazraoui, 26, can play on both flanks and has previously worked with Ten Hag. His arrival could enhance United’s attacking play, as the Moroccan is more offensively inclined.

According to Bild (via Fussball Transfers), West Ham is exploring an initial loan deal for Mazraoui, with an obligation to buy for €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

This stance might benefit United, as Bayern Munich prefers a permanent exit for the Moroccan. United remains open to purchasing Mazraoui outright, but this is contingent on selling Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham is one of the clubs interested in Wan-Bissaka, and their move for the Moroccan depends on whether they secure Wan-Bissaka or another club meets the asking price.

Bayern acquired Mazraoui on a free transfer and stands to make a significant profit from his sale. Their transfer dealings, including potential targets like Matthijs de Ligt for United, also depend on player sales.
