Pundit Rates West Ham and Tottenham Signings Higher Than Chelsea’s Pedro Neto
Peter Crouch Ranks Pedro Neto Third Among Top Summer Signings, Behind West Ham and Tottenham Additions
Chelsea was one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs, securing notable signings like Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Jadon Sancho.
Meanwhile, players like Conor Gallagher, Ian Maatsen, Raheem Sterling, and Romelu Lukaku were among those to depart Stamford Bridge.
Pedro Neto was Chelsea’s most expensive acquisition, costing an initial £54 million from Wolves, according to Sky Sports.
He was also ranked third on Peter Crouch’s list of top Premier League summer transfers.
Speaking on TNT Sports’ YouTube channel, Crouch praised the Portugal international, saying, “Pedro Neto from Wolves to Chelsea, I think he’s a top player.
Many clubs in Europe would have signed him, and Chelsea have secured a great signing along with many others, but I believe he’s a standout signing.”
However, Crouch placed West Ham and Tottenham’s transfers ahead of Neto.
He highlighted West Ham’s signing of Max Kilman, another departure from Wolves, as his second-best transfer of the summer.
Crouch commented, “Max Kilman at West Ham is a top signing.
He’s solid, brings the ball out well, and has shown excellent retention in the first few games.”
For his top deal, Crouch picked Tottenham’s signing of Dominic Solanke, citing his importance in filling the void left by Harry Kane.
“I think Dominic Solanke at Tottenham is key because they haven’t replaced Harry Kane as the focal point.
With the talent around him, once he recovers from injury, I believe he’ll score and make an impact,” Crouch added.
