Pundit Reveals When Daniel Levy Might Exit Tottenham Amid Qatari Takeover Talks

Tottenham have faced a difficult season, though their struggles extend beyond just this campaign, with their last trophy secured 17 years ago.

A major factor behind this has been poor investment decisions, not necessarily due to a lack of spending but rather an inability to allocate resources effectively.

As a result, Tottenham have become the subject of fresh takeover speculation, with Qatari investors reportedly interested in acquiring the club.

This raises questions about the future of chairman Daniel Levy.

Qatari Ownership May Decide Levy’s Future

Levy is reportedly keen to remain at Spurs, even if the takeover goes through.

However, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes his long-term position could be uncertain.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Robinson said:

“Daniel gets a lot of criticism—sometimes unfairly—because of the team’s underperformance and perceived lack of investment on the pitch.”

Robinson suggested that, even if a takeover occurs, Levy would likely remain for a transitional period.

“I don’t see Joe Lewis and the club’s ownership selling out entirely. More likely, it would be a partial sale, leading to a partnership with the Qataris, which would be a fantastic financial boost.”

He added:

“I don’t foresee an immediate scenario where Daniel is forced out. Initially, there would be an investment phase with him still in place.

However, if the partnership evolves, the new owners may eventually look to bring in their own people. I don’t expect sweeping changes right away.”

Ange Postecoglou’s Future Also Uncertain

Despite Spurs’ 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town, concerns remain over Ange Postecoglou’s role in the team’s struggles this season.

His tactics and decision-making have contributed to the club’s regression, adding pressure to his position.

If Levy’s future is in question, Postecoglou’s tenure could also be at risk should new owners seek a fresh direction.

Tottenham fans deserve a club capable of competing for major honors, yet at present, the team remains far from that standard.
