According to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Las Vegas Raiders have engaged in discussions with former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson regarding a potential position within their offensive staff.
This development comes in the wake of the Raiders making significant coaching additions, notably bringing in Kliff Kingsbury, the former head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, as their offensive coordinator, and appointing Marvin Lewis, the former head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, as the assistant head coach. Jackson and Lewis have a history of collaboration, having worked together for five seasons in Cincinnati before Jackson assumed the head coaching role with the Browns.
Hue Jackson, 58, faced a formidable challenge during his tenure with the Cleveland Browns, posting a record of 3-36-1 over a span of 2 1/2 seasons. Despite the challenging stint in Cleveland, Jackson previously served as the head coach for the Raiders in 2011, where he achieved an 8-8 record.
Following his time in the NFL, Jackson ventured into collegiate coaching, spending the last two seasons as the head coach at Grambling. However, his coaching tenure at Grambling came to an end in November when he was relieved of his duties. During his tenure at Grambling, Jackson compiled a record of 8-14.
