“Rangers on the Brink of SENSATIONAL Transfer Coup as They SEAL Deal with English Giants – You WON’T Believe Who’s Coming!”

Rangers Close In on Djeidi Gassama Signing After Agreement with Sheffield Wednesday

Rangers have begun to make moves in the transfer market over the past few weeks, with several new additions already arriving at Ibrox.

So far, Max Aarons, Nasser Djiga, Joe Rothwell, Emmanuel Fernandez, and Thelo Aasgaard have been signed, and more reinforcements are expected soon.

One of those could be Djeidi Gassama, with manager Russell Martin keen to add the dynamic winger to his squad.

Progress in Gassama Transfer

Although Gassama’s move appeared to be all but complete recently, the final steps of the deal were delayed—much to the frustration of Rangers fans.

The delay reportedly stems from ownership issues at Sheffield Wednesday. Club chairman Dejphon Chansiri had been reluctant to sign off on the deal while also facing mounting pressure due to unpaid wages and financial uncertainty.

However, it’s now believed that Chansiri has agreed to sell the club, which has triggered a shift in momentum.

The EFL has charged Sheffield Wednesday amid these off-field troubles, but fans can finally look forward to some clarity about the club’s future.

According to journalist Joe Crann (11 July), the obstacles holding up the Gassama deal are now being resolved, and Rangers are optimistic about completing the signing.

There is growing hope that the deal will be officially confirmed by Saturday (12 July), with fans eager to see the exciting winger in action.

A Talented Addition

Gassama arrived at Sheffield Wednesday in 2023 from PSG, having made only one senior appearance for the French side.

Despite limited opportunities in France, he quickly impressed in England with his pace, dribbling skills, and direct style of play. In his debut campaign, he scored three goals and provided three assists.

The 2024 season saw further growth, with Gassama netting eight times across all competitions, including a memorable goal against Brentford in the EFL Cup.

With the transfer nearing completion, Rangers appear to have landed a gifted young winger for a bargain fee—one who could play a key role in their upcoming campaign.
