“Rangers’ SENSATIONAL COUP: Brazilian MIDFIELD MAESTRO Set for JAW-DROPPING Transfer as Medical LOOMS!”
Rangers linked with Troyes midfielder Metinho as Russell Martin eyes summer reinforcements

Vaclav Cerny has returned to Wolfsburg following the end of his loan spell, and Rangers are not expected to pursue a permanent deal for the winger this summer.
Meanwhile, midfielder Nico Raskin has been linked with a potential exit from Ibrox, which could leave the club short of key options in the middle of the park.

Metinho set for FC Basel switch
According to former Football Scotland news editor Mark Hendry, Rangers have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Brazilian midfielder Metinho.
Writing on his Substack on 17 July, Hendry revealed that the 22-year-old is set to join FC Basel on a permanent deal after a loan spell with the Swiss club that began in January.
Metinho had been on Rangers’ radar as a summer target, but he is now due to undergo a medical ahead of finalising his move to Basel.
As a result, the Ibrox side will need to explore other midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
However, the failure to land Metinho is not considered a major blow, with the recent addition of Joe Rothwell helping to reinforce the midfield.
Rothwell, who arrives on loan with an option to buy, brings valuable experience from both the Championship and Premier League, and is expected to add creativity and composure in the middle of the park.
Striker search now top priority
Despite strengthening in midfield, Rangers still face a pressing issue in attack. With Cyriel Dessers struggling to deliver consistent performances, signing a reliable striker is now the club’s top priority.
To challenge Celtic and succeed in European competitions, Rangers must move quickly to secure a proven goal-scorer before the transfer window closes.
Work is reportedly underway behind the scenes, and fans will be hoping for a breakthrough in the coming days.
