Ridvan Yilmaz Rejects Move Away from Rangers Amid Turkish Interest

Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz has been linked with a move away from Ibrox, with the Turkish transfer window open until 11 February.

Both Galatasaray and Besiktas have shown interest in bringing him back to his homeland in recent weeks [Taka Gazete].

However, Yilmaz has no desire to leave Rangers before the window closes, according to Aksam Spor (10 February).

The 23-year-old defender remains committed to the club and has shut the door on a mid-season exit, despite ongoing speculation. He is under contract at Ibrox until 2027.

Yilmaz’s Role at Rangers Set to Expand

Recent performances by Rangers’ defensive options have raised questions about squad depth.

Jefte, for instance, struggled in the defeat against Queen’s Park, allowing Sebastian Drozd to score the only goal in their Scottish Cup exit.

Despite fielding a relatively strong lineup, the Light Blues crashed out of the competition at home.
