“Expect the Unexpected” | Fabrizio Romano on West Ham’s Transfer Activity

Fabrizio Romano Advises West Ham Fans to Expect the Unexpected as Transfer Window Closes

Even those who had full faith in Tim Steidten probably didn’t expect West Ham to sign the calibre of players they have this summer.

Summerville, Todibo, Wan-Bissaka, and Fullkrug are all players many clubs across Europe would have loved to sign, and some even tried.

This showcases how far the club has come, attracting such talents even without European football.

Despite already making eight signings, West Ham’s business doesn’t seem to be over. While some departures are expected, there could also be more arrivals.

Although nothing appears imminent, Fabrizio Romano, a friend of The West Ham Way, suggests that anything can happen between now and deadline day. “With West Ham, I am not ruling out anything,” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“This summer, they are on fire, but at the moment, I’m not aware of fresh contacts, for example, on Jhon Duran and all these players. At the moment, it’s still quiet there.

They’re very happy with Niclas Fullkrug, and they believe they have enough options up front. So let’s see, maybe if there is an opportunity.”

Given how much they’ve spent already, completing a deal for someone like Duran will be challenging.

However, as Romano noted, predicting the Hammers’ moves this summer is difficult.

Even if they do not make any more additions, it has been an incredible transfer window that has provided Julen Lopetegui with all the tools he should need to succeed.

Fans are rightfully excited for the new season, and there is hope that everything can come together to deliver yet another historic campaign for the East London faithful.
