Tottenham Fans Lose Their Minds Over Jaw-Dropping Jarrad Branthwaite Transfer Bombshell!

Tottenham Hotspur weigh up move for Jarrad Branthwaite amid growing competition for the England defender

With speculation ongoing about Cristian Romero’s potential exit from Tottenham, reports indicate that Thomas Frank is prioritising the signing of a centre-back this summer.

Last month, Spurs were said to have turned their attention to Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite after their approach for Marc Guehi was rejected.

More recently, it was reported that both Tottenham and Manchester United are preparing to compete for the young defender, with Spurs now looking to gain the upper hand.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are currently considering a formal approach for Branthwaite and may make their move this week.

This comes despite Everton’s insistence that the 22-year-old is not for sale.

Tottenham, however, are not the only club interested. Chelsea are also reportedly weighing up a move, while Manchester United have already seen a £50 million bid rejected.

Manchester City and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation closely.

While Everton boss David Moyes is eager to retain Branthwaite, the player is said to be keen on competing in the Champions League.

Everton’s financial situation, particularly concerns around breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), means the club may be forced to consider substantial offers for the England international.

It is believed that a bid in the region of £70 million could be enough to persuade Everton to sell, especially as the club looks to balance its finances ahead of the new season.
