Rangers could be set to complete Girona striker Bojan Miovski’s medical ahead of Transfer Deadline Day.
North Macedonia international Bojan Miovski is edging closer to a return to Scotland, with Rangers set to secure his signature as the summer window nears its conclusion.
The striker joined Girona from Aberdeen last year after a prolific spell in the Scottish Premiership, but he has struggled to replicate that form in LaLiga.
According to journalist Nil Sola of SER Catalunya, Miovski is on the verge of joining the Gers for around £2.5million, with the deal expected to be finalised shortly.
The 26-year-old forward is reportedly preparing to sign a four-year contract at Ibrox, giving Russell Martin’s side a much-needed boost after a difficult start to the campaign.
Rangers have managed just three victories from their first ten games, leaving their manager under growing pressure and desperate for backing from the club’s American owners.
Miovski is seen as a direct replacement for Hamza Igamane, who is set to depart for LOSC Lille.
The Moroccan striker, 22, has pushed for a move after refusing to come off the bench in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
His departure, coupled with interest from Panathinaikos in Cyriel Dessers, could leave Rangers without two key centre-forwards before the 1 September deadline.

Girona paid £6.8million to secure his services last summer, but the move did not go as planned. He managed only two league goals in Spain and never established himself as a regular starter.
Still, Miovski’s record in Scotland and his 33 international caps make him an appealing option for Rangers, who urgently require firepower to revive their faltering season.
His ability to finish clinically and adapt quickly to Scottish football could make him the ideal solution for Martin’s side.
