Since joining Rangers in the summer, 27-year-old Cerny has impressed, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.
However, his long-term future in Govan remains uncertain, as Wolfsburg have reportedly set a £6.75 million price tag for a permanent transfer.
Rangers Weighing Up Cerny’s Price Tag
Rangers might have the financial capacity to afford that fee, but it could mean offloading one or two high-value players.
Left-back Jefte has been linked with a move to Chelsea [Rangers Review], and given Chelsea’s spending habits under Todd Boehly, they might be willing to pay a premium for the young defender.
Another potential sale is Hamza Igamane, who could generate a significant fee for Rangers.

Selling Igamane after just one year would be a bold move, but given his occasional inconsistency, it may be a gamble worth considering.
Unlike past mistakes with Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent—where Rangers failed to cash in at peak value—the club will want to ensure they don’t repeat history.
Is Cerny Worth the Investment?
The key question remains whether Cerny is worth the £6.75 million Wolfsburg are asking for.
While Rangers may try to negotiate the fee down, the Czech international has been performing well in Scotland and is in what should be the prime years of his career.
If the Light Blues can lower the price to around £4 million–£5 million, it could be a smart investment.
