“Really Poor” – Carragher Questions Lopetegui’s Impact After Spotting West Ham “Alarm Bells”

Lopetegui has managed to win only three of his first 11 Premier League games with West Ham United, a team that invested heavily in the summer transfer window.

But is he the kind of manager who can dramatically transform a team’s style? I don’t think so.”

Carragher added, “It’s been poor, and honestly, it couldn’t have been much worse.

The first real warning sign came during their game against Chelsea, their fifth Premier League match of the season.

Lopetegui opted for a back three, but the glaring issue with this West Ham team is their severe lack of pace.”

A defeat against Newcastle could spell trouble for Lopetegui. While West Ham may not face an immediate relegation threat, their problem lies in stagnation.

The shift away from David Moyes’ management and the significant investment in the squad appear to have failed to deliver the desired progress.

Though there have been occasional bright spots this season, they have been far too sporadic for a fanbase that cherished the success Moyes brought to the club.

Now, many fans and pundits are predicting a Newcastle win on Monday.

A victory for Eddie Howe’s side would push them into the Premier League’s top six and could mark the end of Lopetegui’s tenure.

Such a decision might seem premature, given Lopetegui’s impressive track record, but the experienced 58-year-old coach understands the ruthless nature of football.
