Report: £12m Player Desired by Champions League Club Now Awaiting West Ham’s Move

A rumored West Ham target is reportedly holding out for a move from the Irons before deciding on joining a UEFA Champions League team.

This summer, the Hammers have been diligently working under new manager Julen Lopetegui to bolster their squad for the upcoming season, securing signings like Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, and Niclas Fullkrug.

Despite these additions, West Ham’s transfer activities are far from over.

They are aiming to sign Yann Bisseck and are determined to build a squad capable of returning to European competition next season.

One player reportedly waiting for West Ham to make a move is Logan Costa. According to Il Resto del Carlino, Toulouse defender Logan Costa is awaiting West Ham’s intentions this summer, as Bologna is also interested in the center-back.

Valued at £12 million, Costa has had talks with West Ham, with Lopetegui eager to add another defender to his squad.

Costa’s impressive individual performance in Ligue 1 has attracted interest from both West Ham and Bologna.

However, West Ham’s indecision about signing the 22-year-old could result in losing him to Bologna, who are keen to bring the defender to Italy soon.

With less than a month left in the transfer window, West Ham must decide quickly. Delaying could mean missing out on Costa, a potential asset for the team.

West Ham needs another central defender after investing heavily in Kilman. Their uncertainty regarding Costa suggests that they may need to focus on other targets.

A swift decision is crucial to avoid wasting time on deals they are not fully committed to.

West Ham might be better off dropping their interest in Costa and redirecting their efforts towards securing a different center-back to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
