Report: European Club Confident of Signing ‘Amazing’ £20m Tottenham Player, Talks to Begin Next Week
Tottenham's Summer Strategy: Balancing New Signings with Key Player Sales and Potential Transfer Talks

Tottenham have been active this summer, completing a big-money move for Archie Gray this week. With Gray’s arrival, Tottenham have now signed three players, including Timo Werner, who returned on loan, and young midfielder Lucas Bergvall.
However, to maintain squad balance, manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to offload some players. He has expressed his desire for changes since the end of last season, and several players are reportedly available if the right offers come in.
According to reports from Turkey, former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho might assist Tottenham in this regard. Fenerbahce, where Mourinho is currently involved, is interested in signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and believes Mourinho’s influence could be pivotal. Mourinho, a known admirer of Hojbjerg from their time together at Spurs, could facilitate the move.
Reports from Sabah suggest that talks to sign Hojbjerg are set to begin next week, as Fenerbahce aims to capitalize on a potential Spurs player sale. Tottenham, who paid around £20 million for Hojbjerg in 2020, will be keen to recoup some of that investment.
Hojbjerg, who played a limited role last season, might find the opportunity to reunite with Mourinho appealing. Described as an ‘amazing‘ player by Denmark teammate Thomas Delaney, Hojbjerg also attracts interest from other European clubs and may need to make a decision soon.
As Tottenham continues to adjust their squad, balancing incoming and outgoing transfers will be crucial for their success in the upcoming season.
