Report: Everton eye one of Europe’s top passers as David Moyes’ first signing

Everton target Devyne Rensch
According to Dutch outlet AD, Everton are considering a move for Ajax right-back Devyne Rensch during the winter transfer window.
The Toffees are set to compete with Napoli, Roma, and Marseille for the 21-year-old’s signature as Moyes seeks a long-term successor to Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young.
With Rensch’s contract set to expire in the summer, Ajax is willing to sell him for around £8m.
The Dutch club has already rejected a bid from Roma, but Rensch reportedly has no plans to extend his contract and is determined to leave.

Rensch’s statistics highlight his exceptional passing ability.
According to FBref, the young defender ranks in the top 1% for pass completion per 90 minutes among his positional peers across Europe, with an impressive 89.4% success rate.
Additionally, Rensch is in the top 14% for progressive passes completed, showcasing his ability to contribute effectively in possession.
If Everton secure his signature, they would be signing a highly accomplished fullback with excellent technical skills and passing capabilities, making him a valuable addition to Moyes’ squad.
