BREAKING: Leeds United set to LAND £42.5M SUPERSTAR FORWARD in EXPLOSIVE transfer talks that are about to DETONATE — deal could be DONE in HOURS!
Leeds United receive fresh boost in pursuit of Marseille forward Igor Paixao

Igor Paixao’s potential move to Leeds United appears to be gaining momentum, with developments at Marseille reportedly increasing the Premier League club’s chances of securing the Brazilian forward this summer.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave the Ligue 1 side during the current transfer window, particularly as Marseille face significant financial pressure.
His departure could help the French club address some of its off-field difficulties, while simultaneously providing Leeds with the attacking reinforcement they are looking for.
Daniel Farke is keen to strengthen his forward options ahead of the new Premier League campaign, with Leeds reportedly searching for a versatile attacker capable of operating both through the middle and out wide.

The need for another attacking player has become even more apparent after Julian Brandt rejected a move to Elland Road and opted to join Ajax instead.
However, the situation surrounding Paixao appears to be developing positively for the Whites.
According to Express, Marseille have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan, with Celtic reportedly moving ahead in the race for the player.
The Scottish club’s financial position is also said to make it difficult for Marseille to compete for Hassan’s signature.
As a result, Marseille have reportedly shifted their attention towards free agent Krepin Diatta, who became available after leaving Monaco earlier this summer.
Their interest in another attacking option could further increase the likelihood of Paixao being sold.
Marseille are also facing pressure to generate substantial transfer revenue, reportedly needing around £128 million in player sales by June 2027 to comply with financial regulations.
Those circumstances could strengthen Leeds’ position in negotiations for Paixao.
Recent reports suggest Marseille may now be more prepared to listen to offers for the Brazilian, with Leeds potentially required to pay around £42.5 million to complete the deal.
However, some reports claim the transfer could be negotiated for significantly less, with a fee of approximately £30 million potentially enough to convince Marseille to sell.
Paixao’s own ambitions could also play an important role. The winger has previously made it clear that playing in the Premier League is one of his biggest career dreams.
Leeds were interested in the Brazilian last summer, but Paixao ultimately chose to leave Feyenoord for Marseille in a deal worth around £25 million.
Just over a year later, however, he could finally get the opportunity to fulfil his Premier League ambition.
Speaking to GE Globo in November 2022, while still at Feyenoord, Paixao described the Premier League as a dream and highlighted representing Brazil as another major objective.
The forward has yet to make a senior appearance for Brazil, having also missed out on youth-level opportunities.
A successful move to Leeds and regular Premier League football could therefore provide Paixao with the platform he needs to attract the attention of Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti.
With Marseille under financial pressure and Leeds searching for attacking quality, the conditions now appear increasingly favourable for a summer agreement.
