Report: Everton Target Attacking Star Now in Contract Negotiations

TEAMtalk journalist reported via X on 16 August that the former Belgian Under-21 international is currently negotiating with his club in Spain to extend his contract amidst significant interest from other teams.

Everton, Leeds United, Greek side AEK Athens, and Turkish outfit Besiktas have all shown interest in the 23-year-old. On 11 August, TEAMtalk noted that Ramazani was on Everton’s shortlist of attacking targets, particularly if Dominic Calvert-Lewin were to leave.

The winger, who can also play as a forward, was reportedly available for around £6 million and was open to a move to Goodison Park.

Everton, under Sean Dyche, has been working to bolster their attacking options this summer after struggling in that area last season.

The club has secured Jack Harrison’s return, completed a permanent deal for Iliman Ndiaye, and brought in Jesper Lindstrom on a loan-to-buy basis.

However, the pursuit of Willy Gnonto from Leeds United has stalled for the second year running, as reported by The Athletic on 6 August.

Currently, Everton has four senior strikers, but uncertainty surrounds their positions.

Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation leaves him potentially available for transfer, and Calcio Mercato reported on 7 August that Beto is also a target for Atalanta.

Additionally, Youssef Chermiti is sidelined for weeks with a foot injury, and Neal Maupay is rumored to be on the chopping block, making Ramazani’s versatility as both a winger and a forward an appealing option.

Almeria, having been relegated from La Liga last season, has less than 12 months remaining on Ramazani’s contract, making him a prime target for interested clubs.

Despite previously turning down an extension offer, recent developments suggest he might be reconsidering, though if Calvert-Lewin stays and no offers materialize, the situation could become irrelevant.
