Everton are reportedly preparing to enter talks to secure an “exceptional” £200k-per-week Premier League player this month, according to a recent report.
Toffees Seeking to Strengthen Full-Back Positions
While Everton’s defense has been solid in the first half of the Premier League season, conceding the fewest goals outside the top eight, manager David Moyes is likely to prioritize bolstering the attack during the January window.
The club is reportedly targeting Barcelona’s Vitor Roque and has opened discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion regarding a potential loan move for striker Evan Ferguson to Goodison Park.
However, Everton’s interest is not confined to attacking reinforcements.
The Merseyside club is also keen to add a new full-back, having identified Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters as a potential target.

A report from Caught Offside suggests that Everton are now preparing talks with Chelsea to secure a loan move for Ben Chilwell.
The 28-year-old has struggled for game time this season under manager Enzo Maresca and could be available for a temporary switch this month.
Currently, Everton have no space to sign another player due to their four loan deals this season.
However, the potential departure of Armando Broja could free up a spot for a new signing.
If Broja returns to Chelsea, Moyes may face a decision between Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as Chelsea is also reportedly looking to loan out the out-of-favor midfielder.
Chilwell a Solid Addition for Everton
Despite his limited playing time this season, Chilwell remains a highly talented and experienced player.
The England international has 21 caps for his country and has been a regular starter for Chelsea in previous seasons, barring an injury-ridden 2023-24 campaign.

At 28, the £200k-per-week defender is 11 years younger than Ashley Young, making him a potentially key addition to Everton’s defense.
