Report: £76,000-a-week Player Criticized by Current Club’s Fans Following Leicester City Summer Departure

However, Leicester City might re-sign Dewsbury-Hall in the upcoming winter transfer window due to his struggle for regular playing time at Chelsea.
In addition to Dewsbury-Hall, Leicester allowed several other players to depart the club on loan, including Tom Cannon, Ben Nelson, Wanya Marcal, and Harry Souttar.
Marc Albrighton retired from playing for Leicester, while Dennis Praet and Kelechi Iheanacho left the club on free transfers.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who left Leicester after his contract expired, signed with Sevilla in La Liga.
The striker now earns €92,308 (approximately £76,000) per week, according to Capology.
However, his time in Spain has been less than successful. Iheanacho has made nine league appearances in the 2024/25 season but has yet to score a goal.
Although he has netted twice in the Copa del Rey, his overall performance has been disappointing.
Iheanacho’s struggles continued after playing only one minute in Sevilla’s last three La Liga matches, leading to a rare start against Celta de Vigo on December 14th.
However, his 45-minute performance led to criticism from fans.
Spanish outlet MuchoDeporte reported that Sevilla effectively played with ten men due to his lackluster performance, hinting that this could be his final match for the club.
With Leicester City potentially looking for another striker in January due to Odsonne Edouard’s goal-scoring difficulties, Iheanacho’s future is uncertain.
Recent reports suggest that Championship clubs are interested in signing the former Leicester forward, and it has been speculated that Sevilla may even terminate his contract this winter.
Although Iheanacho was never the most prolific striker during his time at Leicester, he played a key role in the club’s historic FA Cup and Community Shield victories and their promotion to the Premier League.
