However, despite the apparent risk, Garrett is undeterred and will engage in the Move the Chains competition this season.
As reported by WEWS’s Camryn Justice, the Move the Chains competition involves five players from each conference collaborating to relocate 3,000 pounds of weight from a wall and then collectively move a 2,000-pound wall across the finish line. Despite concerns over potential injuries, Garrett, who earned first-team All-Pro honors this season, is set to take part in this unique event.
Garrett’s inclusion in the competition comes on the heels of an outstanding season, where he played a pivotal role in anchoring a championship-caliber defense masterminded by Jim Schwartz. His dominant performances throughout the season have positioned him as the frontrunner for the AP’s Defensive Player of the Year award, even with statistical comparisons to other standout players like T.J. Watt.
While Garrett’s stellar season didn’t conclude as expected, with playoff success eluding the Browns, there is optimism for the future under Schwartz’s leadership.
