Report: Player Demands £10 Million Annual Salary for Transfer as West Ham Prepares Talks

According to the report from 16 July, Galatasaray, also in pursuit of Scott McTominay, has dismissed the notion of meeting his wage demands and instead prefers a loan deal over a permanent transfer.

This follows earlier suggestions from Manchester World on 3 July that West Ham could face competition from up to three other Premier League clubs for McTominay.

West Ham United, starting a season without European football for the first time in four years, may still appeal to players due to the influence of new manager Julen Lopetegui. While David Moyes is revered by the fanbase for his achievements, Lopetegui has already begun to make an impact, actively pursuing players who can help the club return to European competition.

The team has a strong history of midfielders who contribute significantly to goal-scoring. Mohammed Kudus, Tomas Soucek, and James Ward-Prowse combined for 22 league goals in the 2023/24 season, providing substantial competition and motivation for McTominay.

Given the potential for regular first-team football, McTominay might consider a move to West Ham.
