Report reveals Everton’s position on making loan deal permanent amid ‘Big Decisions’
Everton's pursuit of a permanent transfer for Jack Harrison from Leeds United is currently on hold, according to The Athletic.
An online news outlet reported on Friday (29 November) that while Everton initially aimed to extend Jack Harrison’s stay at Goodison Park, the club’s impending takeover has delayed any decision.
Harrison, currently in his second successive loan spell with the Toffees after Leeds’ 2023 relegation, had an impressive first season that caught Sean Dyche’s eye.
However, any plans to retain the 28-year-old will hinge on the intentions of incoming owner Dan Friedkin and his executive team.
According to The Athletic, “most big decisions will have to wait” until the takeover is complete.
Harrison’s future at Everton seems increasingly uncertain. His performances this season have fallen short of expectations, with no goals in 11 Premier League appearances.
Moreover, he appears to symbolize the club’s soon-to-be bygone era of financial struggles.
