Report: Spurs Approve Midfielder’s Exit; Medical Scheduled for Today

Leicester City Have Reached Agreement to Sign Oliver Skipp from Tottenham Hotspur Before Tomorrow’s Match

Oliver Skipp is set to join Leicester City.

As Tottenham prepares to start their Premier League campaign with a match against Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Monday, Leicester has intensified their interest in the Spurs midfielder.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Skipp is scheduled to undergo a medical with Leicester today and is expected to finalize the deal soon.

Sami Mokbel reported earlier that Leicester has shown strong interest in Skipp ahead of the transfer deadline, with the club accelerating their efforts to secure the 23-year-old.

Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Tottenham is open to letting Skipp leave before the end of the transfer window.

It is anticipated that Leicester will make an official offer in the coming days, potentially leading to Skipp reuniting with former teammate Harry Winks.

When asked about Skipp’s future last weekend, Ange Postecoglou indicated that the decision would ultimately be up to the player.

He told Football.London, “A lot of those things are kind of in the player’s hands, where they see themselves and what they want from their careers.

I have always had the same sort of thought process on those things. When they are with us, they are with us.

That doesn’t mean things will change and you have to embrace and accept that as a manager that things change, while they are here, they are here.”

Postecoglou added, “A lot of things dictate themselves and I do think that depending on the individual players, they’ve got a career that they have to manage themselves.

Whether they think that this is the right place to keep progressing.

I’ve always respected that a lot of those decisions also come down to them.”
