SHOCK TRANSFER BOMBSHELL! Newcastle on the Brink of Stealing £17M SUPERSTAR Alongside Gray – The INSANE Dream Tonali Replacement That Will Absolutely EXPLODE the Toon! Fans won’t believe this one…
Newcastle United are closely monitoring developments at the World Cup, where several transfer targets have caught the club’s attention.
One player who continues to impress is Freiburg midfielder Johan Manzambi, who played a starring role in Switzerland’s 2-0 victory over Algeria.
After beginning the tournament as an impact substitute, the youngster has become a key figure in his nation’s midfield, strengthening Eddie Howe’s belief that he could become a long-term asset at St James’ Park.
Whether Newcastle can complete a deal for Manzambi remains uncertain, but the club’s need for midfield reinforcements has grown following Sandro Tonali’s £100 million move to Tottenham Hotspur and ongoing interest in Bruno Guimaraes from Arsenal.
Combined with Anthony Gordon’s transfer to Barcelona, Howe is preparing for a significant squad rebuild after Newcastle’s disappointing 12th-place Premier League finish.
The Magpies have already made progress elsewhere, with Hoffenheim winger Bazamanou Toure edging closer to a move as Gordon’s replacement.
Newcastle have also shown interest in Tottenham youngster Archie Gray, although an initial bid has reportedly been rejected.
Another midfielder now attracting serious attention is Roma’s Neil El Aynaoui.
According to reports, Newcastle have held discussions with the Morocco international’s representatives after his outstanding World Cup displays against Brazil and the Netherlands.
Despite struggling for regular starts in Serie A last season, the 24-year-old has showcased his quality on the biggest stage, helping Morocco reach the quarter-finals.
El Aynaoui’s energetic style, defensive work and composure in possession have earned widespread praise, with many viewing him as one of the tournament’s most underrated performers.
His all-round midfield qualities could make him an ideal replacement for Tonali, offering balance, control and intensity in Howe’s evolving side.
Although there are questions over how quickly El Aynaoui could adapt to the Premier League, his confident performances under World Cup pressure suggest he has the mentality to succeed.
While Manzambi would provide creativity and attacking flair, El Aynaoui could deliver the steel and consistency Newcastle require in midfield.
With several clubs monitoring the Moroccan star, Newcastle may need to act decisively if they hope to secure one of the tournament’s breakout performers before competition for his signature intensifies.
