Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in a surprising transfer for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen. Spurs are targeting several high-profile players, with Bowen being the latest addition to their list.
According to HITC, the Lilywhites inquired about the England international during the current transfer window. However, West Ham swiftly rejected the approach, stating that Bowen is not for sale.
Last October, Bowen signed a long-term contract extension with the Hammers, binding him to the club until 2030. Reports suggest that West Ham has set a hefty price tag of £150 million for Bowen, making it highly unlikely for Spurs to pursue the deal further despite their initial inquiry.
The 27-year-old forward was recently selected for England’s 26-man squad for the ongoing European Championship and has played in both matches so far, showcasing his importance at both club and international levels. Bowen had an outstanding season with West Ham, scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions, demonstrating his proficiency in both scoring and playmaking.
With Dejan Kulusevski already in Ange Postecoglou’s squad, it’s improbable that Spurs would invest heavily in another right-winger. Nevertheless, Tottenham’s interest in Bowen underscores their ambition and willingness to consider top-tier players to strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
