Report: Two additional clubs join the pursuit to sign Tottenham midfielder
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold reveals two League One clubs interested in loaning Tottenham youngster Jamie Donley for the upcoming season.

Just recently, we shared a report from Alasdair Gold highlighting the increasing interest in Jamie Donley, following his standout performances for Tottenham’s Under-21s last season and several appearances off the bench for Ange Postecoglou’s senior squad in the Premier League.
Gold’s latest update reveals that two additional League One clubs have approached Spurs regarding a potential loan deal for Donley. These clubs are Bristol City and Bristol Rovers, both keen to provide the 19-year-old with regular playing time in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
However, any decision on Donley’s future isn’t expected imminently, as he is slated to play a significant role in Tottenham’s pre-season preparations, including the club’s summer tour to Japan and South Korea at the end of July.
Postecoglou faces tough choices in midfield, particularly in the number eight role, with recent signings Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray also vying for playing time.
Given the competitive environment within the squad, Donley may find it challenging to secure consistent minutes, even in European competitions like the Europa League. Therefore, a loan move could offer him valuable experience and opportunities to develop outside of Tottenham.
