Report: West Ham Contacted About Signing £8.6m Player Described as a ‘Fierce Attacker’

West Ham continues negotiations to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United while having already secured Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, Crysencio Summerville, and Niclas Füllkrug.

The Hammers also submitted a £30 million bid for Youssouf Fofana, although the French midfielder prefers to join AC Milan.

West Ham is now exploring a new signing, with recent reports from UOL in Brazil indicating that they have contacted Monaco regarding left-back Caio Henrique. Nottingham Forest is also interested in Henrique.

According to UOL, West Ham has not yet made an official offer to either Monaco or Henrique and is currently assessing what it would take to secure the Brazilian.

Monaco’s response to the inquiry is unclear, but UOL reports that Henrique is not actively seeking an exit and is content to stay with the Ligue 1 club.

Henrique missed most of last season due to a torn cruciate ligament but managed to record five assists in nine appearances before the injury.

His technical prowess has earned him recognition as a “fierce attacker” and “extraordinary tackler,” according to Smarter Scout.

With many top teams now having two options for each position, West Ham is no exception. The left-back position is currently filled by Emerson Palmieri and Aaron Cresswell.

However, Cresswell, who turns 35 in December, has less than a year left on his contract. If he is not sold this summer, he is likely to leave on a free transfer in 2025.

Therefore, Henrique could be considered a potential replacement for Cresswell, ensuring competition for Emerson in the left-back role.
