Report: West Ham Target £5 Million Deal for 6ft 7in Defender Eager to Join the Club

West Ham United Reportedly Eyeing Summer Move for Towering Defensive Target

Graham Potter knows major changes are needed at West Ham this summer, with the current squad at the London Stadium requiring serious upgrades.

Since taking over from Julen Lopetegui, Potter has tightened up the Hammers’ defence impressively.

Now, he appears focused on strengthening even further by adding a new central defender.

West Ham are reportedly targeting Argentine centre-back Kevin Lomonaco.

According to Crónica, the Hammers could secure his services for just £5 million.

However, Crystal Palace are also showing strong interest in the 23-year-old.

Standing at 6ft 7in, Lomonaco is a dominant aerial presence and plays with an uncompromising style—traits that would benefit any Premier League side.

His physicality and threat from set-pieces make him a potentially valuable asset for West Ham.

Some observers even suggest he might be an upgrade on Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Despite being relatively unknown to many fans, Lomonaco is clearly eager to make the move.

In a recent interview, he expressed his admiration for both the Premier League and West Ham in particular: “I really like the Premier League, it’s what I watch the most.

An English league team? I like West Ham.”

With the player seemingly keen and the fee relatively low, West Ham may have a golden opportunity to secure a promising young talent.

Whether they choose to act on that interest remains to be seen, but Kevin Lomonaco certainly ticks many of the boxes Potter will be looking for in his summer rebuild.
