Report: West Ham Target International Defender, £12m Could Seal the Deal
According to The Guardian, West Ham is eager to sign Galatasaray centre-back Victor Nelsson.

A report on August 22 indicated that a £12 million deal could be in the works, but West Ham’s ability to finalize the transfer depends on player sales.
The 25-year-old Denmark international is also attracting interest from Sevilla, Lille, and Bologna as the transfer deadline approaches.
West Ham is unlikely to bring in three new centre-backs in a single transfer window.
Even if the club could cover the transfer fees, the financial and logistical challenges of integrating three new defenders would be impractical.
Team cohesion is vital, and adding too many new players in one position could disrupt the squad’s balance and understanding.
Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo are likely to be prioritized, as they better fit West Ham’s immediate needs and are more attainable.
Additionally, with potential reinforcements needed in other positions, such as midfield or the wings, the club’s transfer strategy will likely focus on maintaining balance across the team.

Although Nelsson is a solid option, he is not a priority for West Ham at the moment.
However, if two centre-backs were to leave in the coming days, the club’s situation could change, necessitating a reassessment of their transfer priorities.
