The 18-year-old utility player from Leeds United was on the brink of joining Brentford, but the deal was intercepted by the North London club, who will now pay £40 million to secure the young talent from the Whites.

Archie Gray has emerged as one of the most promising young talents in the country over the past few years. Hailing from Durham, he had the option to represent either England or Scotland internationally, ultimately choosing the former.
