However, he described their second-half collapse as “very Spursy” and made a bold prediction regarding the club’s future.

In his personal blog, Keys wrote: “What’s going on at Spurs? Not only did they make complete fools of themselves at Brighton – they made a fool of me as well.

“I really enjoyed watching them in the first 45 minutes at the Amex and said so on beIN SPORTS. They were good.

Coming off the back of their win at Old Trafford, I even thought they might finally have gotten it right.

“But no, the wheels came off again in typical Spurs fashion.

What is it about them? No wonder big Ange [Postecoglou] couldn’t take his eyes off the floor when he spoke afterward!

“At best, they might win another cup one day, but it seems Fergie was right all those years ago – they’ll never win the title again.”
