Sean Dyche Teases Transfer Developments Amid Interest in Leeds United

Everton manager Sean Dyche is eager for a breakthrough in the transfer market in the upcoming weeks, with the Toffees reportedly eyeing a move for Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto.

Having missed out on Gnonto last summer, Everton now face competition from Newcastle United for the 20-year-old’s services, with Leeds valuing him at £25 million. The Merseyside club has been active in the transfer window, securing loan returns for Jack Harrison from Leeds and permanent deals for Tim Ireogbunam and Iliman Ndiaye.

The potential departure of midfielder Amadou Onana in a £50 million move to Aston Villa could provide Everton with funds to reinvest in their squad. Dyche, in close communication with director of football Kevin Thelwell, hinted at possible progress in their pursuit of Gnonto.

“Kev has been working tirelessly all summer,” Dyche stated. “I’ve been constantly in discussions about various possibilities, assessing different scenarios—some we can push forward, others we need to monitor closely, including interest in our players.”
