Everton are reportedly considering a sensational move to re-sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

The Toffees are believed to be exploring attacking reinforcements ahead of the new year, with current strikers Beto and summer signing Thierno Barry struggling to make an impact.

Between them, the pair have managed just one Premier League goal so far, leaving David Moyes eager to strengthen his options up front.

Reports suggest Everton are keeping a close watch on Richarlison’s situation in North London, with the Brazilian said to be “very open” to returning to Goodison Park — where he previously enjoyed a successful four-year spell between 2018 and 2022.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are thought to be “open to the idea” of letting the 27-year-old leave mid-season, provided they can bring in a replacement striker in January.

According to TEAMtalk, Everton’s hierarchy are prepared to support Moyes in the market as they aim to climb the Premier League table following back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Tottenham that left them sitting 14th.

While Richarlison remains a top target, the Merseyside club have yet to make a final decision on whether to pursue him.

The Brazilian’s future at Spurs could hinge on whether the club succeed in signing a new centre-forward, with Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta reportedly one of the names under consideration.

Richarlison began the season brightly, scoring twice in Tottenham’s 3-0 opening-day victory over Burnley.

However, he has since found the net only once more — in a 2-2 draw with Brighton last month. He also registered an assist in Spurs’ recent 3-0 win against Everton, coming off the bench for the final half-hour.

The former Watford man has fallen down the pecking order under Thomas Frank, who has preferred Mathys Tel and loan signing Randal Kolo Muani in recent matches.

Richarlison’s last league start came on September 27 in a 1-1 draw with Wolves, and his prospects could further diminish once Dominic Solanke returns from his ankle injury.
