Burnley have been actively searching for an experienced centre-forward, with Wilson reportedly on a shortlist that included Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jamie Vardy.

All three were seen as valuable free agents who could provide leadership and a goal threat up front.

It now appears Burnley may be focusing their efforts on Wilson.
