LAFC Makes Formal Offer to Milan Star Backed by Ex-Spurs Keeper Lloris

French football star Olivier Giroud has reportedly been presented with a formal offer to join LAFC on a free transfer, with his fellow countryman Hugo Lloris advocating for a reunion in the MLS.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, LAFC has submitted a contract proposal to Giroud, who currently plays for Milan. Giroud’s contract with Milan is set to expire in June, allowing him to potentially join LAFC on a free transfer in the upcoming summer.

Despite receiving other lucrative offers, LAFC appears to be the frontrunner in securing the services of the 2018 France World Cup winner, as per Romano’s report. Lloris, the former Tottenham goalkeeper, is reportedly advocating for Giroud to join him in Los Angeles.

Numerous sources in Italy suggest that Giroud is enticed by the prospect of moving to the MLS after his contract with Milan concludes on June 30, 2024. Giroud, who joined Milan from Chelsea in 2021, has amassed 46 goals in 121 appearances for the Serie A club.
