“Injury Expert Provides Pessimistic Update on Tottenham Star’s Return”

The Brazilian forward has already missed 18 games this season due to recurring fitness problems, most recently a hamstring injury that has kept him out since November.

Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar believes Richarlison is likely suffering from a high-grade muscle tear, classified as either Grade 2 or Grade 3.

Initial concerns pointed to a more severe Grade 4 injury, but updated assessments suggest a less severe condition and a potentially faster recovery.

Dr. Brar offered a positive outlook on Richarlison’s rehabilitation, forecasting a return to training around the New Year and a possible comeback to competitive action by mid-January.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he stated:

“This appears to be a high Grade 2 or Grade 3 muscle tear rather than the initially feared Grade 4 based on the current timeline.

If the projected mid-January return is accurate, I expect him to resume training around the New Year. However, I don’t anticipate him playing first-team football before January.”

Richarlison’s stint at Tottenham has been overshadowed by injuries, significantly impacting manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans this season.

The 27-year-old has made just seven appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal and one assist in only 173 minutes of action.

These persistent fitness struggles have raised questions about his long-term future at the club.

Although linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League during the summer transfer window, no transfer materialized, leaving Richarlison contracted with Spurs until 2027.

In response to their attacking challenges, Tottenham signed Dominic Solanke earlier this year.

The former Bournemouth striker has since become a vital player for Postecoglou, delivering consistent performances as the team’s leading forward.
