So far, Newcastle have only completed one senior signing — Anthony Elanga — and while the departures of Lloyd Kelly and Sean Longstaff have improved their financial position, they may still struggle to meet Leipzig’s asking price.

If funds remain tight, the club may be forced to accelerate Isak’s exit in order to fund Sesko’s arrival and allow for additional reinforcements — potentially two or three new signings before the transfer window closes.
