It’s understood that Everton have made contact with the representatives of England international Ivan Toney.
However, completing a deal for the 29-year-old forward will be difficult, as he currently faces numerous challenges in leaving his Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ahli.
If Moyes were somehow able to bring Toney back to the Premier League, it could prove transformative for Everton.
Although he hasn’t played in England’s top flight for two years, Toney has maintained his scoring touch in Saudi Arabia, regularly finding the back of the net.
Pundit Ally McCoist has publicly urged Everton to push for the striker’s signature in January, though Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
Given Everton’s scoring woes, Toney could immediately become a hero on Merseyside if he helped the team rediscover their attacking threat.
