Leicester City have demonstrated the opportunities they can offer to Jeremy Monga, and manager Ruud van Nistelrooy hopes the young talent will commit his future to the club.
Monga made his fifth senior appearance in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, coming off the bench and nearly scoring a dramatic winner in stoppage time, only to be denied by goalkeeper Matz Sels.

Monga’s rise over the past year has been meteoric. Just 12 months ago, he was playing for Leicester’s Under-16s, helping them win the cup against Manchester City.
Despite having never started a game at Under-18 level or played at Under-21 level, he quickly outgrew youth football and became a standout for the development squad.
His rapid progress has seen him appear in five of City’s last six Premier League matches.
He is now the second-youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League, only behind Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri.
Had his late shot found the net on Sunday, he would have become the league’s youngest-ever goalscorer at 15 years and 305 days—330 days younger than current record-holder James Vaughan, who scored for Everton in 2005 while on loan from Leicester.
