Exclusive: Leicester City Target Tottenham’s 23-Year-Old Midfielder, Ange Might Approve Sale

Sources Reveal Leicester City Planning Move for Tottenham Midfielder Oliver Skipp, Reports Football Insider

Spurs might be open to letting central midfielder Oliver Skipp leave this summer despite him being a fan favorite and key squad member.

Leicester City is looking for a central midfielder after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s move to Chelsea. The Foxes aim to sign a proven Premier League player who can immediately join the starting lineup.

The 23-year-old Skipp has made 77 Premier League appearances in his career, scoring one goal. Last season, he struggled to secure a starting position under Ange Postecoglou, with most of his 21 Premier League appearances coming off the bench.

Leicester City wants to strengthen their squad with Skipp. Although Spurs might let him go, Skipp is under contract until 2027, giving Tottenham a strong negotiating position. However, Leicester is eager to enhance their midfield quality ahead of their return to the top flight.

The Foxes have also secured Wilfred Ndidi’s future, with the midfielder signing a new contract that keeps him at the King Power Stadium until 2027. Tottenham’s decision on Skipp’s future may also depend on the situation with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
