Potter Admits Improvement is Essential After Sunderland Defeat

Manager Graham Potter was quick to acknowledge that his side cannot afford many afternoons like the one at the Stadium of Light.

West Ham’s First Enquiry for Marc Casado

According to Mundo Deportivo, relayed by Sport Witness, West Ham have now made their first official enquiry to sign Barcelona’s young midfielder Marc Casado.

Valued at just €30m (£26m), the 21-year-old has attracted attention from both the Hammers and Wolves, with a transfer race seemingly underway this month.

Casado has already been compared favourably with West Ham’s creative star Lucas Paquetá. While not yet at the Brazilian’s level for key passes, Casado excels at ball progression and regaining possession, making him a highly effective two-way midfielder.

His blend of composure, awareness, and energy has seen him described as a “genius” by respected U23 scout Antonio Mango.

With plenty of years ahead of him to develop further, Casado is regarded as one of Barcelona’s brightest prospects.

For West Ham, landing him for £26m would represent a bargain in the current market and give Potter a player capable of slotting straight into his starting XI.
