This claim is bound to raise eyebrows among fans, particularly given the number of contentious incidents they feel have gone against the team.

The only acknowledged refereeing mistakes involving Leeds do not relate to VAR itself. These include Max Dowman being awarded a penalty for Arsenal earlier in the season, and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer escaping a second yellow card during a 2-2 draw in February.

Beyond those two decisions, officials have not admitted to any further errors.

Considering Leeds have already played around 30 matches, the idea that not a single VAR mistake has gone against them feels difficult for many to accept.

Supporters can point to several moments that appear to contradict that assessment.

One notable example came recently when Leeds were denied a penalty in a clash with Sunderland. Pascal Struijk was involved in a clear holding incident with Luke O’Nien inside the box, yet no spot-kick was awarded at the time.

Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett later stated that Leeds should have been given the penalty. That view has since been backed up by the Premier League’s Key Match Incidents Panel, which also ruled the decision incorrect.

While it is impossible to catalogue every debatable moment, the suggestion that zero VAR errors have gone against Leeds is one many supporters will find hard to believe.
